But then again, I wouldn't know about that.
I don't usually run into anyone I know on campus, though I've had lots of classes with students that are still there, and I even know a lot of people that went to my same mission that attend BYU, but for some reason, I never run across any of them.
Except for today.
You want to know why?
Because I didn't shower today. Yep: go a morning without showering, and you run into an old friend from the mission, from your single's ward, from high school, and even a pal from back in junior high you haven't seen in years and used to have a crush on. Swell.
Are they making a "Truman Show" about me? I swear, sometimes that's the only explanation.
From high school? Who in the world did you see from high school? You must tell me! I'm uber curious!
ReplyDeleteHey, you remember Joseph Wright? He went to Cyprus sophomore year, and then pretty much disappeared and moved to Massachusetts? Yeah, I saw him on campus, and we talked for about 45 minutes. It was great!! I was surprised that he recognized me, AND remembered my first and last names!! Weird, no? But, I felt stinky. Good thing he went for a high five, and not a hug.
ReplyDeleteI do remember Joseph! He's all, like, grown up and married now. I don't think I ever ran into him on campus, except the time Cami was visiting. And that was because Cami had told him where to meet us. So I guess it doesn't count anyway.
